At Topbrainer, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our online learning platform at topbrainer.com.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. For subscribed users we also collect payment information through our secure processors (Stripe).
Usage & Content Data
We collect data about the content you create, enroll in, watch, or interact with (Community, Insider, or Premium). This includes enrollment timestamps, progress, and webinar attendance.
Creators’ Data
Creators provide content, payout details (for receiving $1 per Insider enrollment and 85% of Premium sales), and tax information if required by law.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Topbrainer platform
- To process payments and send creators their earnings
- To personalize your learning experience and recommend content
- To communicate important updates, webinars, and promotions
- To comply with legal obligations (including Canadian privacy laws)
3. Sharing Your Information
We only share data with:
- Payment processors (Stripe) to handle subscriptions and creator payouts
- Creators — they receive enrollment data for content you paid for or enrolled in
- Service providers who help us run the platform (analytics, hosting, email)
We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for login and analytics tools to understand platform usage. You can manage preferences through your browser settings.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. However, no system is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / PIPEDA / CCPA)
You can access, correct, delete, or export your data at any time by contacting us. Residents of Quebec and Canada have additional rights under PIPEDA.
7. SMS / Text Messaging Privacy
If you choose to receive SMS text messages from Top Brainer during the instructor registration process, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent. We use this information solely to send one-time passcodes (OTPs), account verification codes, and other security-related authentication messages necessary to verify your identity and protect your account. We do not use SMS to send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages. Message frequency varies based on your account activity and authentication requests. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties except as necessary to deliver the SMS service or as required by law. All SMS opt-in records and consent information are used solely to provide our authentication services and are never shared with third parties except as required to deliver the SMS service or comply with applicable law. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again.
